Community ExpressCare
Urgent/Walk-in Clinic

Community ExpressCare helps patients who suffer from a health issue that is not life-threatening, but also can't wait until you can see your primary care physician. It does not replace emergency care or your family doctor.

Community ExpressCare treats non-life threatening medical situations, usually faster and at less cost than an emergency room visit. Examples include:

  • Accidents and falls
  • Sprains and strains
  • Moderate back problems
  • Breathing difficulties, such as mild to moderate asthma
  • Bleeding/cuts-not bleeding a lot, but requiring stitches
  • Diagnostic services, including X-rays and laboratory tests
  • Eye irritation and redness
  • Fever or flu
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, or dehydration
  • Severe sore throat or cough
  • Minor broken bones and fractures, particularly fingers and toes
  • Skin rashes and infections
  • Urinary tract infections
Community ExpressCare resources include on-site X-ray and laboratory. The lab provides immediate test results for flu, strep throat, urinary tract infections, RSV (a sometimes life-threatening illness in children), and pregnancy. Community ExpressCare providers give physicals for school, work, and Texas Department of Transportation. The facility accepts most insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
